ESSEX Police are appealing for a key witness of a serious collision which has seen people taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers were called to the scene of a serious collision in Cock Clarks, near to Cold Norton.
The incident “involved a number of vehicles”, including a BMW, and took place in Hackmans Lane at 2.30pm today, Sunday, November 24.
Essex Police said a number of people have been taken to hospital for urgent treatment.
A spokesman said: “The road remains closed while investigative and recovery work is concluded, and a number of diversions are available.
“We’re now appealing for a specific driver to come forward who we believe may be a key witness to the incident.
“The has been described a small Mini-type vehicle, which is dark colour and being driven by what witnesses have described as an older lady.
“To be clear, we’re trying to contact this person as a witness to the incident.
