Motorists are experiencing delays on the A12 as an object is blocking part of the road.
Traffic has slowed down on the Brentwood Bypass on the London-bound carriageway this morning due to an earlier obstruction.
The A12 between J12 and J28 is most affected, with queues building up since the incident at around 6.50am.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and allow extra time for their journey.
