Three people were taken to hospital after suffering head injuries when strong winds hit a Christmas market in a south Essex High Street.
Emergency services were called to the Wickford High Street Christmas Fayre yesterday after gazebos were "sent flying" during Storm Bert.
Much of south Essex was battered by winds reaching up to 55mph yesterday, with a Met Office warning across the area for much of the weekend.
Three people were taken to Basildon Hospital after suffering head injuries.
A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: "Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and a paramedic car were sent to High Street, Wickford yesterday afternoon following reports of people injured by gazebos blown about by the wind.
"Three people with head injuries were transported to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further assessment and care."
