AN American fast food chain specialising in Southern-style chicken will open the doors of it’s first south Essex store at Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park tomorrow.

The new Slim Chickens store will open to diners at midday, with 5,000 prize tickets available for the first customers to visit.

Slim Chickens was founded in Arkansas and has recently been opening locations across the UK.

The Basildon Festival Leisure restaurant will be the chain’s first store in Essex.
