A police dog has helped tracked down a suspect following an attempted burglary in Southend.
Essex Police received a call during the early hours of Wednesday morning, with reports that someone was trying to force entry into a home near to Sutton Road in Southend.
Officers arrived and PD Obi sprang into action.
Using his tracking skills, he led his handler to a man, standing on a nearby road.
After conducting CCTV checks, a 25-year-old man from Southend was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.
He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary thanks to help from police dog, Obi.
"Well done PD Obi. Great work."
