A BIKER has been rushed to hospital following a crash with a car on the A127 near Kent Elms.
The crash partially blocked the Southend-bound lane of the A127 in Eastwood for around 40 minutes, with drivers facing "severe delays" as paramedics treated the biker.
The crash site has now been cleared and the biker was taken to Southend Hospital.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called just before 2.20pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A127 near Leigh.
"An ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
"The motorcyclist, an adult man, was transported to Southend Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
