A number of eateries in south Essex have received new food hygiene ratings this week, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five meaning hygiene standards are very good, and zero meaning urgent improvement is required.
Here are the establishments in Essex that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:
- Zinnia Restaurant, Unit At, Clifftown Shore, Western Esplanade, Southend, was handed a five-out-of-five, after an assessment on November 20.
- Read On Sea, 26 Broadway, Leigh, was handed a three-out-of-five, after an assessment on October 18.
- Morley's, 98 West Road, Shoebury, was handed a five-out-of-five, after an assessment on November 21.
- Chris' Famous Fish, 68 Bridgwater Drive, Westcliff, was handed a five-out-of-five, after an assessment on November 21.
- Pizza Go Go, 120 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff, was handed a four-out-of-five, after an assessment on October 21.
- Cromwell Manor, Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea, was handed a five-out-of-five, after an assessment on November 21.
- Costa Coffee, Town Square, Basildon, was handed a five-out-of-five, after an assessment on November 19.
- Tiptree Tea Rooms at Barleylands, Barleylands Farm, Barleylands Road, Billericay, was handed a five-out-of-five, after an assessment on November 14.
- Flamingo / Platts Platters, 35 High Street, Billericay, was handed a five-out-of-five, after an assessment on November 5.
