A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a crash left two people trapped in their cars this morning.

Emergency services flooded Noak Hill Road in Billericay after being called to a crash between two cars after 8.30am today.

Multiple fire engines and ambulances were at the scene within minutes, as police blocked the road with a full closure put in place. 

Firefighters worked quickly, using specialist equipment, to rescue two people stuck in their cars. They were released after 10am.

The scene was left with police and paramedics, and a woman was taken to Basildon Hospital for further treatment.  

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called just after 8.35am to a road traffic collision on Church Street in Billericay. Two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.

“An adult woman was transported to Basildon Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
