POWER station staff have donated £5,000 to St Luke’s Hospice, in Basildon, InterGen at Coryton, based at the Manorway, Corringham, raised the cash from the proceeds of a sponsored safety campaign.
Contracting companies were encouraged to take part in “Safety first because accidents last” by pledging their support and encouraging their staff to work safely.
Each company pledged £10 for every day that was completed without a lost time incident that resulted in £5,000 being raised.
