GREAT Wakering Parish Council is holding an election to appoint a councillor.
The council is seeking applications for Great Wakering West parish ward following the resignation of John Flaherty, who, the council says, has stepped down for personal reasons.
Nomination forms can be obtained from Rochford District Council in South Street, Rochford. The forms must be submitted no later than noon on Friday, November 19.
The election will take place on December 16.
