Having just got back from my over-50 aqua-aerobics, I read about Hazel McEwen (Nov 8), who was referred to a specialist health support group now about to lose its funding.

She has lost weight and now goes out every day in her electric scooter and enjoys swimming.

I do hope she finds a way of continuing her swimming and her exercise.

Cullys Gym, at Hockley, has members aged 84 to 14 and many have disabilities of one kind or another.

Exercise is possible in a wheelchair. There must be swimming pools in her area which she could attend.

I hope Hazel doesn’t give up her swimming. As for me, in my 76th year I am learning to swim at last.
