It may not roll gently off the tounge, but Faapulou Soolefai is a name which will be on the lips of all Southend supporters this season believes coach Kevin Harman.

The signing of the Samoan international on a year's contract ends a long chase for the Seasiders chief who has been desperate to get his man all summer.

And Harman believes the experienced centre will be a key figure in the Warners Bridge outfit's quest for National Three South honours this term.

"Faapulou has got 40 odd caps for Samoa and is going to be a big player for us this season," said the Southend boss.

"He has played top level rugby in New Zealand and has played in this country so he knows what it's all about."
