I can’t help but think that Joe Public is being taken for a complete fool these days.
Hardly a day goes by when we don’t hear of more Government cuts to schools, hospitals and public services.
However, it seems those in positions of power and privilege live in a different world to the rest of us and carry on spending our money regardless and think they are immune from the laws of the land by which we have to abide.
If it is not MPs falsely claiming for anything and everything they can, in just the last few days I have read of David Cameron spending £30,000 of our money on improvements to No 10 plus another £650,000 on other Government offices and our local council spending in excess of £160million over the last three years on outside consultants.
However, the revelation that I could hardly believe is that the various foreign embassies in London owe over £51million in unpaid congestion charges.
Just why are they not being pursued with the same vigour that any ordinary motorist would be for failing to pay the charge?
