The repositioning of the bus stops was one of the better aspects of the layout at Victoria Gateway, Southend.
The one in Queensway was in the left turn lane to Victoria Avenue impeding traffic flow.
The slip road from Victoria Avenue is supposed to be for buses, taxis and cycles and is also a good idea but, due to no pedestrian crossing, is very dangerous.
All sorts of vehicles are using it, in both directions, as a short-cut, so it has been necessary to appoint people to see people across the road. If it is safe, why has this been necessary?
