Havens Hospices do an excellent job. I worked for them for ten years. But I can understand worries about the site for a proposed hospice in Belton Way, Leigh.
Why build on more green belt when at Daws Heath, where Little Havens is, there are acres of land?` Why not extend Little Havens and share the amenities? They would save thousands by sharing the staff and restaurant.
There are beautiful woodlands around it, and although it’s off the beaten track, this hasn’t worried patients and visitors for the past ten years.
Perhaps a link to a station or bus stop could be arranged. If someone can give a satisfactory answer to this suggestion, it might save our green belt.
