I spent a wonderful evening at the concert in Priory Park, Southend.
It was my first time there and I enjoyed it very much.
It was certainly worth every penny.
I thank the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill and everyone who took part in making it a wonderful evening for all who were there.
I have only one negative comment to make and that is about copious amounts of alcohol that was consumed.
There was a couple in front of me, who consumed two jugs of Pimm’s and three bottles of wine. After the show was over they moved out towards the car park and the man had his car keys in his hand.
Multiply these people by the fact that there were 4.200 people there, it’s a disaster waiting to happen.
If people will not police themselves, to save lives someone else will have to step in to ban the booze and police it forcefully.
