About to reach 92, I considered myself beyond economic repair, so when I was admitted to Southend Hospital after a mini stroke I was prepared for the worst.
Skilled surgery has unblocked one of my carotid arteries giving me freedom from the certainty of another stroke. Three big cheers for the Stroke Unit. They are a wonderful team.
