Trevor Murdin (Nov 30) has a lot to say about many things and I don’t often disagree with him. But I do regarding using green belt for the Havens hospice, or anything else.
There always seem to be plenty of places to build blocks of flats without using green belt land.
Wildlife is just as important as selfish, greedy humans.
At what point are people going to realise they are gradually destroying their own existence by their own out-of-control population explosion and expansion?
How about converting the vacant Bell Hotel, on Leigh Hill, and making that the new Havens Hospice, as the flats planned for it now seem to be out of the question?
