A FORMER Rayleigh school pupil is celebrating having her first novel published.
Rosemary Temple, who left Sweyne Park School in 2003, wrote the fantasy novel Found. The book, aimed at teenagers, is set in a time when the world is divided into two societies – the materialistic modern industrialists and the primitive tribal cultures who value the natural world.
Rosemary, who studied at SEEVIC college in Thundersley before going on to University in Lincoln, has donated a copy of the book to the school’s library.
Headteacher Andy Hodgkinson said: “Rosemary’s accomplishment is an inspiring example of how you can all secure success.”
