The capitalism the Occupy Southend protesters oppose supplies them with their needs, from birth to death.
There are the medical facilities which brought them into the world and provide life-saving drugs.
There are the wages, pensions or benefits which allow them to buy food, clothing, housing, heating, lighting, transport and even holidays in capitalistic industries.
For thousands of years, civilised societies have relied upon merchants to supply their needs. Have the protesters considered how they would survive if none of this was available?
