AN MP has been making an exhibition of himself for a good cause.
John Baron, Tory MP for Basildon and Billericay, is one of several politicians to take part in a one-off parliamentary photographic exhibition to raise awareness of lung cancer.
Several MPs had their portraits taken for the event, which shows them holding lung x-ray images with a statement about why they have chosen to get involved.
The event was organised by the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and pharmaceutical firm Boehringher.
Mr Baron said: “I fully support this excellent campaign.
“Greater awareness of the signs and symptoms of lung cancer is vitally important so people don’t delay going to see their GP.
“The earlier we can detect cancer, the more lives we can save.”
