LEGENDARY former Dr Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson has been forced to cancel his sold out homecoming gig after being taken to hospital.
Tickets for the show at the Oysterfleet Hotel in Knightswick Road, Canvey, flew off the shelves within a matter of days with fans of the local band eager to get a glimpse of the founding member.
Staff at the venue were contacted this afternoon and told that Wilko had been taken to hospital earlier today.
It is not yet known what is wrong with him.
Wilko was due to take to the stage at 8.30pm.
Fans who have brought tickets are asked to contact the Oyesterfleet for a full refund.
