ARMED knifeman raided a post office in Canvey, bringing the total of robberies on the Island to seven in recent weeks.
Raiders burst into the post office on Maurice Road at 3pm on Monday.
They threatened staff with a blade before fleeing. Detectives are still probing the attack and have yet to reveal what, if anything was stolen.
One of the robbers was a white man, aged 18 to 19, 6ft tall and slim build. He wore a black hooded top with the hood up, a black waterproof jacket, a dark scarf covering his mouth and nose, dark trousers and dark trainers.
The other suspect was also white and of a similar age and height. He wore similar clothing to the first but had light trainers on.
Anyone with information in connection with this robbery is urged to contact detectives at Southend police station on 101.
