WOWIE Towie, Essex’s most famous redhead, Amy Childs, is opening a new store in Basildon at the weekend, and she’ll be there to greet fans.
Amy, 22, former star of The Only Way is Essex will be visiting the Eastgate Shopping Centre on Saturday to officially open her shop.
Fans of the beautician turned fashionista are expected to queue up to meet Amy, who has chosen Eastgate as the location for her first pop-up boutique, which will be open throughout the festive season until January.
Situated on the Upper Mall, adjacent to Next and the Basildon Eastgate Art Gallery, Amy Childs’ Boutique Pop-Up Shop promises glamour-loving customers everything they need for the party season – from stunning beauty gift boxes to perfect party hairpieces and dazzling dresses.
The reality star, who lives in Brentwood, already has an impressive CV, including three clothing collections, a strip lash range, a complete tanning collection and her own perfume.
She will be at the centre at 12.30pm to cut the ribbon and open the boutique followed by a product-signing session and fan meet and greet.
Amy, famous for her catchphrase “well jel”, this week reportedly splashed out £80,000 on personalised WE11 JEL, car number plates for her jeep. She’s also been busy leaping to the defence of her former Towie co-star Lauren Goodger who has come under fire for her weight gain, saying of her friend: “She’s got curves and looks amazing.”
Mike Horton, spokesman for the Eastgate Centre, expects plenty of support for Amy.
He said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Amy Childs is opening her boutique at Eastgate.
“Amy’s appearance here is already a big talking point among shoppers and creating great excitement. It promises to be a great occasion for us all.”
