A MAN was stabbed as he walked through a Canvey street at the weekend.
The 43-year-old victim was in May Avenue when a man bumped into him and then ran off.
He then discovered he had been left with a cut to his side.
Paramedics arrived just after 7pm on Saturday and managed to use medical staples to seal the cut at the scene before allowing the man to return to his nearby home.
The attacker is described as white, aged in his mid to late 30s, about 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a white T-shirt, black jacket, dark-blue jeans and white trainers.
Police are not currently connecting this crime to any other recent incident.
