POLICE and council officers stumbled on a “mini nightclub” in a basement flat when they responded to complaints about blaring music.
Southend Council environmental staff seized thousands of pounds of DJ equipment from the converted home in Grand Parade, Leigh.
Officers obtained a search warrant and entered the unoccupied flat with police where they found the equipment, including speakers, an amplifier, synthesizer, mixer unit, cd player and computer used to compile music play lists.
