SOUTHEND Airport has been named as the country's top place to fly from by passengers.
More than 11,000 people took part in a survey run by consumer magazine Which? and the south Essex airport had the highest customer satisfaction score of 84 per cent.
Smaller airports out-performed larger hubs in the online poll.
Customers praised Southend's quick check-in and arrivals times.
David Lister, operations director, at Southend Airport said: "This is wonderful news and testament to all the hard work that the team here at London Southend has put in."
The airport is run by Stobart Group which has invested more than £100million in it since it took over in 2008.
