A MAN has been charged with a string of offences after a car crashed through parked cars in five gardens in Thundersley.
The black BMW M6 veered off the road at the junction of Daws Heath Road and Western Road, Thundersley at around 9:20pm on Friday, smashing through gardens and writing off several vehicles.
Kevin Austin, 27, of Seamore Avenue, Benfleet, was arrested alongside a 40-year-old man from Benfleet after the vehicle failed to stop for police.
He has been charged with dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a vehicle without insurance.
He will appear at Southend Magistrates Court on September 9.
The 40-year-old was released without charge.
