A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of committing two armed robberies at petrol stations in Basildon.
The first robbery happened at 5.20am on Saturday, August 24 at the BP Petrol Station on Eastmayne.
Staff were threatened by two men armed with a knife.
The second happened on July 22 at the BP Petrol Station on the Fortune of War.
Two men again threatened staff with a knife.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at 12.45am this morning on suspicion of both offences and remains in police custody.
Police are still searching for a second man in connection with the offences.
