THREE people had to be cut out of two cars following a head-on road traffic collision in Rayleigh today.
A green Ford Fiesta and a white Mini were involved in the smash on London Road, near the junction with Little Wheatley Chase at around 12.30pm.
Police closed the road while firefighters freed the passengers from their cars.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “We were called to a head on road traffic collision in Rayleigh. Three people were taken to Southend General Hospital, all suffering from what are believed to be minor injuries.”
The road was fully open again by 2.15pm.
