SOUTHEND’S first free school has opened its doors to eager pupils.
The YMCA School, in East Street, has been opened by the charity to help vulnerable teenagers.
Syrie Cox, chief executive of the charity, said: “We are absolutely delighted. It’s like a dream we have got to this stage.”
