POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Southend yesterday involving a bicycle and a van.
It happened at around 11.55am on Tuesday at the roundabout junction of Cambridge Road and Scratton Road, and involved a white Fiat Doblo van.
The cyclist, a 20-year-old man from Shoebury, was injured and was initially taken to Southend Hospital.
However, he was later transferred to the Royal London Hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.
Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
