PLANS for a new-look Triangle centre will be unveiled to the public at the end of the month – almost ten months after the complex burned down.
Architects Faithorn Farrell Timms will show off their long-awaited plans at an exhibition.
Four shops at the precinct, in High Road, Langdon Hills, were reduced to ash in January after a major fire broke out in the roof of the Hong Kong House Chinese takeaway.
The new complex will include space for six shops compared to the original four, with five flats above.
David Burton-Sampson, from Langdon Hills Residents’ Association, said the plans were “modern in design, but in keeping with the environment.’’ He added: “We are a bit concerned about the amount of accommodation at the shops. But it’s a much better compromise between flats and shops, compared to earlier designs.
“I just want to encourage as many residents as possible to view the plans, as they are the ones who will be using the shops.”
