STARS lined up on Southend Pier once more for the latest round of filming for Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club.
The sun shone yesterday, tempting guest star Sienna Miller to finally pay a visit to the town.
The 31-year-old actress, who was spotted flirting with Harry Styles, on the front row of London Fashion Week on Monday as they watched his on/off girlfriend Cara Delavigne walk the catwalk, missed filming last Friday due to the rain.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, 42, was spotted this week as the cameras rolled.
Former Cold Feet and Fast Show actor John Thomson, 44, currently in a play at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff, joined Jamie and his crew. He tweeted a picture of him and the chef to his 13,000 followers.
His tweet read: “To remain healthy, I have decided to walk the Southend Pier daily. On reaching the end, look who I bumped into!”
The stars were watched by fans and day-trippers. Rachel Palmer, from Romford, came to visit Southend for the day and was hoping to get a picture taken with Jamie, Jimmy and Sienna.
Rachel, 29, said: “I’ve come to Southend for the day with my baby, Jack, because it’s his first day at the seaside.
“I didn’t know about the filming until we got to the pier.
“I watched them filming the opening scene with Jamie, which was a walk through into the cabin, and have seen Sienna too. It’s exciting!”
Janet Brown, of Sandhurst Crescent, Leigh, appeared on Channel Four series, Save with Jamie, where he aims to show viewers you can eat well on a budget.
Janet, 55, said: “I saw they were filming when one of the crew posted a picture on Instagram, and wrote a comment on it, asking if I could come along.
“Jamie wrote back, saying ‘come and hang out’, so here I am. I’ve come down to see which celebrities will be here and say hello to Jamie. It was lovely to see him again. I didn’t think he’d remember me.
“Since we filmed the show, he’s really inspired me. My husband asked if he can come and visit again, because he’s never eaten so well!”
Jo Green, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, watched the filming during the afternoon.
Jo, 75, said: “We’re only daytrippers, like most other people on the pier, but all this excitement has got to be good for the economy.
“Watching the filming has been quite interesting, and the food they’re making smells wonderful. It’s an interesting way to end our trip!”
