TWO women had to be cut out of a car by firefighters after a crash in Stanford-le-Hope on Saturday.
The collision happened just after 5.45pm on Victoria Road near the junction with London Road and Church Hill.
It involved a black Mercedes c200 and a grey BMW 320.
The women were freed from the car within about 40 minutes.
A police spokeswoman said: “A 50-year-old female driver believed to have been driving the Mercedes was taken to Basildon Hospital suffering from minor injuries.”
