THE A127 has reopened after a car ended up on its roof following a collision with a lorry.
The London-bound track of the road was completely blocked and was closed from the A132 at Wickford with motorists stuck in queues for more than two hours.
The Citroen Saxo ended up on its roof at the Noak Bridge roundabout, which turns off to the A176 for Billericay.
A diversion was put in place that took motorists through Basildon and on to Cranes Farm Road, they were then able to rejoin the A127 at the A176 junction.
An Essex Police spokesman said all three emergency services were called just before 9am today.
He said the driver's injuries were not believed to be serious.
Damage was caused to the fuel tank of the lorry which led to a diesel spillage on the road and the central barrier was also damaged.
