A GIRL is having her head shaved in memory of her sister who lost her life to leukaemia three years ago.
Alice Townhill, 17, of Wick Drive, will get her locks chopped on Saturday to raise funds for Clic Sargent, who helped her family when her beloved sister Sarah lost her battle with the disease in December 2010, aged 18.
Mum Wendy, 52, said: “When my daughter fell ill in 2010, Clic Sargent assigned her a social worker and helped out with a lot financially.
“Afterwards, they offered us a bereavement break which allows families to meet up with others who have lost loved ones.
“The charity have been really great and Alice, whose hair has now got quite long, decided she wanted to do this to give something back.”
