Four cars set alight in series of attacks
FOUR cars were set alight on Stanfield Road and Grainger Road, Southend, late last night.
Two fire units from Southend were sent to the scene, where it is thought the attacks were the act of one person or group walking down the road pouring flammable liquid over the vehicles.
The cars damaged in the incident were a red Ford Focus, grey Volkswagen Golf, orange Daihastu Matiz and red Honda Stream
The incidents occurred around 10pm, with two of the cars thought to be write offs.
Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact Southend police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
