Inspectors have rated Blenheim Primary as a good school with some outstanding features.
The Leigh school's latest Ofsted report praises its nurture unit for providing support which can then help children with special needs get into mainstream classes.
Headteacher Marianne Turner was praised for her clear and determined vision that each child achieved their best, regardless of their ability, and good monitoring was said to effectively track pupils' progress.
Inspectors said pupils of all abilities did well academically and the school was commended for its plans for further improvement.
Teaching was also described as lively and interesting, providing good lessons at a brisk pace.
Head inspector Cheryl Thompson said behaviour was excellent and pupils said they enjoyed school.
Mrs Turner said: "We are really pleased the Ofsted inspectors found that all pupils achieve well academically and make good progress.
"This is down to the hard work and commitment of our staff and governors.
"We are delighted they identified the personal development and well being of our children as being outstanding."
