Leigh-on-Sea - the lyrics

I went down to the Leigh-On-Sea and I

Would have rowed, but it wasn't me

Give me a song, give me a song

I called my Ma on the other side, she said

Look around it will be all right

Give me a song, give me a sign

All the kids are in the bars

They don't look up at the stars

All the magazines are dead

They can't speak they have no head

Through Chinatown on a West End night and then

Skipping stones it'll be all right

Give me a song, give me a song

Pete's leaving Dublin for a heavy price and then

What you said put the light in my eyes

Give me a song, give me a sign

Me and Roma all get sick

Down below and catch a fish

Jimmy's tired of day TV

Me and Hadden talk of what will be

I should have come, I should have come, I would have come

Pack my bags I'm leaving

All the kids are in the bars

They don't look up at the stars

All the magazines are dead

They can't speak they have no

I should have come, I should have come, I would have come
