Firefighters extinguish Eastwood van fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a van fire in Eastwood yesterday evening.
One fire engine from Leigh station attended the scene on Mansell Close shortly after 6pm yesterday evening.
The crew wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel to extinguish the blaze in the van, which was said to be 30 per cent alight, within 20 minutes.
No-one was in the van and there were no casualties from the incident.
