A MAN has been taken to hospital after a car crash in which he is believed to have passed out at the wheel.
Firefighters from Leigh and an East of England Ambulance crew were called to Rochford Road, Southend, at 5.44pm today after a yellow Fiat Punto came off the road onto the Harp House Roundabout outside the airport complex.
The driver, in his 30s, is believed to have taken ill and passed out at the wheel and was taken to Southend Hospital at 6.34pm for a check-up.
A black Nissan Qashqai was also involved in the crash though the driver is not believed to have been injured.
