FREE concerts are coming back to Southend’s Priory Park later this month.
The Southend Band will be performing a series of concerts from Sunday, April 20.
The brass band will be playing a selection of rousing tunes at the bandstand in the park from 3pm-5pm.
After Easter, the free concert season continues every weekend from early May until September with a wide variety of bands appearing at weekends.
They will include a wide range of local and regionally based performers and groups, including jazz bands, big bands, choirs, ensembles, brass bands and others.
Southend Council’s cabinet member for culture and tourism, councillor Derek Jarvis said: “Our Music in the Park series is a great attraction for residents and visitors who flock to a great variety of free musical treats in the unique outdoor ambience of Priory Park.
“We hope as many people as possible come along on Sunday 20th April to celebrate the Easter break with the help of The Southend Band, and then continue supporting these terrific concerts throughout the rest of the season.”
Seating is provided and there is some limited parking.
