TWO fires crews were needed to rescue a man from his car after it collided with a cafe in South Street, Rochford.
Fire crews from Rochford and Southend attended the scene at 2.43pm, using two sets of cutting equipment to release the casualty by 3.09pm.
An ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended and took the man, believed to be in his fifties, to Southend Hospital.
He suffered no apparent injuries but is believed to have fallen unwell at the wheel and was taken for further assessment.
