House blaze in Basildon
A HOUSE went up in flames in Basildon.
Four crews were called to the home in Mellow Purgess at 10.14am to find the roof alight.
It is thought part of it has collapsed.
A neighbour dialled 999 after seeing smoke.
It is believed the family were at home at the time and they, including two young boys, were led to safety.
Firefighters are at the scene to investigate the cause.
