A CONSERVATORY was destroyed at a home after a fire broke out in the early hours.
Two fire engines were sent to the address in Fobbing Road, Corringham, at 3.40am this morning.
An Essex Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Crews were originally called to a fire in a garden but on arrival at the scene reported that the rear of the conservatory was 100 per cent alight. Firefighters from Corringham and Orsett wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to tackle the flames.
“Once the fire was out, firefighters used a high pressure fan to clear the property of smoke. The Gas and Electricity Board were called to the scene to deal with services affected by the fire.”
No one was injured and the fire was out by 4.23am.
