TWO women have been rushed hospital after a car flipped over on the A127.
The vehicle, thought to be a Ford KA, hit a signpost on the London-bound carriageway, close to the Halfway House, before leaving the road.
Firefighters from Orsett and Brentwood used specialist cutting equipment to free the driver and passenger, who had both become trapped.
The women, both in their early 20s, were taken to Basildon Hospital for treatment, but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police have put up a partial road block while the scene is cleared and they carry out initial investigations.
