A club for children with special needs is out in the cold after its ancient boiler was ruled unsafe.
About 100 youngsters use the Adventure Playground for Children with Special Needs, where a 25-year-old boiler has been scrapped on safety grounds.
Club organisers fear they will not be able to re-open without a £3,000 replacement.
Brian Roskams, chairman of the charity, said: "To say the kids are disappointed is an understatement. Being right in the middle of winter, it couldn't have happened at a worse time, but there is no way it can be used with no heating.
"We're getting quotes for a replacement, but it's not going to be cheap."
The centre is normally open daily and provides activities including after school clubs and evening discos.
Anyone with donations, or a spare boiler funds or can call Mr Roskams on 01268 521699 or 07881 810247.
