A relieved cat owner has told how thrilled she is to have her blind pet back - after pleading for her safe return through the Echo.
Barbara Haslam was distraught when Flossy, a 16-year-old, a pale ginger tortoiseshell cat, went missing from the garden of her home in Loxford, Felmores.
Fearing the worst, a tearful Mrs Haslam called the Echo for help - and is now celebrating after being reunited with her beloved pet.
She said: "I'm thrilled to have her back and it was a direct result of the article in the Echo."
Flossy had been taken to Maggie's Pet Rescue and Rehoming Service, based in Chalk End, two days after she disappeared.
Maggie Clawes, 67, who runs the service, said a family had found Flossy hanging around Northlands Park.
She said: "I took her in, then was flicking through the Echo and saw the article.
"Mrs Haslam was overwhelmed. I'm just so glad we could reunite them."
