Rugby nut Simon Bradley set pulses racing when he appeared on the pitch wearing nothing but a bow tie and thong.
Game-for-a-laugh Simon, 23, delighted the crowd at Billericay's latest match - but happily for fans he wasn't modelling next season's kit.
Squad member Simon, who wasn't playing that day, re-styled himself as water boy for their victorious game against Uckfield in the EDF Energy Junior Vase competition.
He braved the cold to hand out much-needed refreshments.
He said: "It was a spur of the moment decision, but it went down well. All of the players were laughing, although the coach looked absolutely horrified!
"The ladies in the crowd were laughing really loudly, but then they started clapping and cheering and the men joined in too. It was windy and cold, but I didn't mind at all.
"I think my role was a motivational one."
This certainly seems the case, as his team went on to win the game 26-16.
Simon, who plays a centre, said: "It was inspirational, to say the least.
"We were actually losing the game up until that point, but, although it was quite distracting at first, it spurred us on."
His team are now just three games away from reaching the final at Twickenham and Simon vowed to strip again to ensure his team's success.
He said: "I'll definitely be doing it again. Next time I play I'll even wear the thong under my uniform, just in case."
